The Course Description Feeds application provides a simple way to include the most up-to-date course information on a University website. This application allows course descriptions from the Registrar (which are searchable and accessed when students peruse the University Class Schedule) to be displayed on individual webpages; once updates are made to the data, these updates will automatically show up on websites that use Course Description Feeds.

Note that updating the Registrar’s Course Description database is an entirely separate process.

How it Works

Setting up a Course Description Feed for your website is conducted in four steps:

  1. Set up a Course Feeds directory.
  2. Create a Course Container file.
  3. Create a Course Template file.
  4. Include the Course Feed in your website.

Advanced Supplements:

  1. Creating Custom Template Elements.
  2. Section and Schedule Information.
