My CV system provides a central repository of faculty ‘profile’ information, such as scholarly & creative works, grants, teaching activities and professional activities. This profile information is used throughout the university to support decision-making, as well as to highlight the accomplishments of Boston University’s professors and researchers.

My CV is integrated with other institutional systems in a way that both pulls from institutional data sources as well as pushes profile information to systems requiring profile related artifacts.

Benefits

My CV provides a central repository for faculty profile information that can be leveraged by departments and/or schools/colleges. It provides an easy to use interface to allow faculty to maintain all of their profile information, integrating with other systems such as SAP HCM (for employee and faculty data), Kuali Research (for grant data) and Registrar (for course data) to leverage institutional data sources to help populate a faculty’s profile within the system. Faculty will be able to supplement this information with their own information to complete their profile.

Key Features

  • Identify publications for faculty from external sources (such as PubMed, SSRN, CrossRef, etc.).
  • A tool for faculty to quickly export their CV and Biosketch (pre-formatted).
  • Information from BU information sources are pre-populated in the system to minimize rekeying of data.
  • A mechanism for schools/colleges to easily export data on their faculty.
  • Ability for delegates to easily maintain the faculty’s profile on their behalf.
  • Assist in the data gathering process for Program Review.
  • The system will help facilitate the deposit of publications to OpenBU in support of BU’s Open Access Policy.
