Leader with BUMC Climate Action Group | Master of Science in Anatomy and Neurobiology | Specialty: Zero Waste, Public Health
I am originally from Brazil. At BU, I am the president of the Graduate Medical Sciences Student Organization at MED and am part of the leadership team for the Climate Action Group. I enjoy the outdoors and have created an international mentorship program called @BreakingBarreiras.
My research passions include understanding how people at home can maximize the materials they buy and facilitate their access to compost and recycling.
I have had the incredible opportunity at BU to work on projects that advance our response to climate change, including involvement with a group that was awarded the Sustainability Innovation Seed Grant for our MASK (Mask Amelioration Solution Koordination) project. This project strives to reduce mask disposal and promote educational content of proper disposal of masks.
Being involved with BU Sustainability encouraged me to take my ideas off of paper and bring them into the world.
