Dean Jorge Delva presented the class gift:
The Class of 2021 proudly gives their class gift contribution to the Judith Perlstein Field Education Fund created in memory of our friend and former Field Education Associate Director, Judith Perlstein. Initiated by The Welcome Project, an organization that offers civic engagement opportunities for immigrants, the fund provides annual field education stipends with one of the stipends supporting a student placed at The Welcome Project. This fund allows alumni and friends to provide direct support for field education at BUSSW.
Dean Jorge Delva recognized graduating PhD candidate Dr. Noelle Dimitri for completing her doctoral education culminating with her excellent dissertation entitled “Exploring the Lived Experiences of Black Women Navigating Type-2 Diabetes.” She was hooded by her advisor, Professor Linda Sprague Martinez.
