5/23: Dean Jones Is the Featured Speaker at Annual BU Women’s Guild Lunch and Awards
Dean Barbara Jones will be the guest speaker at the 2024-2025 Boston University Women’s Guild Lunch & Awards Presentation. This event honors BU faculty and staff with scholarships for their work in social work, history, arts, and other fields. Since 1981, the Guild has awarded over 200 scholarships to scholars in the BU community.
Dean Jones will discuss her research on palliative care and oncology, specifically how social workers and interprofessional teams can provide patient-centered, value-based care systems that serve the needs of patients and families. Dean Jones was a 2023 fellow of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and the Association of Oncology Social Work, where she also received the Ruth McCorkle Excellence in Research Mentorship Award in 2024.
