Allison Wigen

PhD Student


Allison Wigen is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Boston University. Her research and writing focus on culture, class and inequality, work and occupations, education, family, environment, and social theory. Her current research explores relationships between work and cultural production, with an emphasis on the role of creative actors in producing social change. She holds an Ed.M. in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. in Literary Arts from Brown University.
