BOSTON GLOBE OP-ED PROMOTES SOCIOLOGY’S ‘BOSTON’S PEOPLE SERIES’
On Tuesday, November 2nd, the Boston Globe online ran an article highlighting the upcoming Boston’s People Series, co-sponsored by the Sociology Department. The talk, focusing on the reconstruction of the politics and city of Boston from the 1980’s, will be held in the School of Hospitality Administration, Room 110 at 3:30 pm on Thursday, November 4th. The talk focuses on the new book, “Activists in City Hall: The Progressive Response to the Reagan Era in Boston and Chicago” by Pierre Clavel, and will host Clavel on the panel as well as former Mayor Raymond L Flynn, a central figure from Boston politics in the 1980’s.
