FACULTY AND GRAD STUDENTS AT ESS CONFERENCE
From presiding at sessions to presenting results of research to convening conversations, Boston University sociologists will be busy nearly every hour at the upcoming Eastern Sociological Society meetings. Starting on Thursday March 18th at the Park Plaza Hotel the meetings will run through Sunday. Two of the many highlights will be a mini-conference on “Gender, Family, Work & Technology in the Post-Obama Era” featuring Prof. Laurel Smith-Doerr, and an author-meets-critics session on Into the Red: The Birth of the Credit Card Market in Post-Communist Russia by Alya Guseva.
