Simone Gill Honored with AOTF Leadership Service Commendation
Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy Simone Gill was honored with the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) Leadership Service Commendation.
This honor recognizes the outstanding service of those contributing their time, energies, and support to the fulfillment of the Foundation’s mission, goals, and objectives.
Gill directs the Motor Development Laboratory at Sargent College where she investigates how people’s bodies and environmental demands influence walking and motor functioning across the lifespan. She uses a variety of methods to examine how children and adults modify their walking patterns to navigate through the environment. She is particularly interested in understanding how childhood and adult obesity affect the ability to adapt to change.
Gill was presented with the commendation in March at the annual AOTA INSPIRE Conference in Orlando.
