DPT Students Attend APTA National Student Conclave 2013

This October, Sargent College’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students joined more than 1,400 peers across the country for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) National Student Conclave 2013 (NSC) in Louisville, Kentucky. Students heard from APTA president Paul Rocker and other APTA leaders, and engaged in open discussion about legislative and policy issues shaping the future of physical therapy.DPT APTA Student Conclave 2013

“Even as a first-year, I benefited from attending NSC as I learned about different aspects of the profession and post-graduation plans,” said Sargent DPT student Aimee Winston. “My favorite part was meeting students from other programs and learning about what they were doing to promote advocacy. It inspired me to become more active with advocacy for the profession.”
