  • Starts: 11:00 am on Friday, December 2, 2022
  • Ends: 12:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022
Residential decarbonization and weatherization programs have the potential to reduce health disparities related to energy insecurity, but these programs remain largely underutilized by vulnerable populations living in older, leaky housing who would most benefit. Join the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS) for a panel discussion about the links between these programs, energy security, and health disparities, as well as the critical role of community engagement in implementation. Panelists: Bianca Bowman, Climate Justice Organizer, GreenRoots (Chelsea, MA), Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba, Executive Director, Children’s HealthWatch; Research Associate Professor, Department of Health Law, Policy & Management, Boston University SPH, Brooks Winner, Metropolitan Area Planning Council, Moderated by Patricia Fabian, Associate Director, IGS; Associate Professor, Environmental Health, Boston University SPH
