BU Sargent College Moves Up in US News & World Report Graduate Rankings
All Ranked Programs Place in Top 8% Nationwide
Boston University College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College continues to rise in the U.S. News & World Report rankings of graduate programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology, placing in the top 8% of programs nationwide
Specifically, our Physical Therapy Program moved 8 places to #16 out of 201 programs while Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences increased 4 to place it at #21 out of 250 programs. We continue to remain in the highest echelon of Occupational Therapy Programs ranking #2 out of 156 on this year’s list. We are the only university in New England to have three nationally ranked health programs all place in the top 25.
According to Dean Gloria Waters, the College’s continued rise in the rankings is further evidence of its outstanding program quality. “I feel very lucky to work with such an outstanding group of faculty and staff. This year’s impressive rankings really reflect the innovative solutions and practical ideas that Sargent College puts forth each and every day,” said Dean Waters. “I’m confident that the College will continue to grow and prosper over the next several years.”
Sargent College emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation, providing and encouraging opportunities for multiple specialties – including occupational and physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and nutrition – to work together and support the needs of the whole person. In this way, Sargent College provides a unique educational experience combining academics, research, and community outreach.
