About the Speaker
Fernando is a search consultant for the executive search firm Howard Fischer Associates (HFA), specializing in providing C–suite (VP, SVP and Chief Executives) recruitment for private equity and venture capital backed start–ups.
Since leaving Sargent, Fernando has worked more than 7 years in executive recruitment in both healthcare and start- up space. HFA is a national firm that supports executive recruitment needs across all industry verticals which include clients such as Comcast, Ruelala, Wawa, and Airbnb. Prior to joining HFA, Fernando was an executive search consultant for ZurickDavis, a retained search firm with a focus in the healthcare and social services industries. Fernando’s clients have included major academic medical centers, senior living organizations and community health centers with clients such as Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s National, the Dimock Community Health Center, and Community Health Center Association of Connecticut.
Fernando earned a BS in Health Science from Sargent College, is a proud alum of the College of General Studies and a recipient of the Leila Saad Award for his contributions to student life at BU. Fernando serves on the Board for the Sargent Alumni Association, a leader in the Early Careerist Network of the Massachusetts American College of Health Executives and serves on the national leadership committee of Pure in Heart America.
