DPT Student Receives Ruth Hall Award from APTA of MA

Third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student Akshat Mehta (Sargent ’22) received the 2021 Ruth Hall Award from the American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts (APTA MA). This award recognizes a physical therapy student who demonstrates the professional qualities of dedication and caring, exemplified in the physical therapy career of Ruth Hall who dedicated her career to the profession.

In his award recommendation, Akshat’s peers note “somehow juggles a seemingly never-ending list of responsibilities, manages his time and efforts to achieve his goals, all while continuing to build and maintain relationships with everyone he meets.”

Previously, Akshat was honored with The Student Activity Award from Sargent College which recognizes students who make strong contributions to college and/or university extracurricular activities.
