Effective July 1, 2021 (FY22), the Micro-Purchase Threshold for Boston University sponsored research expenditures is being increased from $10,000 to $25,000. Under federal guidance, any sponsored research purchase less than $25,000 may be awarded without soliciting competitive price or rate quotations if the price is deemed to be reasonable based on research, experience, or historical information.
