
M.A. Student; Preservation Studies, Architectural History Concentration
Mia Schlappi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Mount Holyoke in South Hadley, Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in Art History with a concentration in American Art. Mia worked for many years in the American Paintings and Sculpture department at Christie’s, Inc., the auction house in New York City. She was a vice president and specialist in paintings and sculpture involved with cataloguing and research, auction catalogue production, auction logistics and client management. After taking time to raise a family in New York City and London, Mia is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in Preservation Studies with a concentration in Architectural History.
Mia’s research interests include vernacular architecture, with a focus on the north shore of Boston.
