Marwa Ben Khalifa is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Boston University and a Graduate Student Affiliate at the Center for Innovation in Social Science. Her research examines European Union democracy support and foreign aid policies in new and emerging democracies. More broadly, her work explores how external actors shape political change and democratic governance through democracy support and development assistance.
Prior to joining Boston University, Marwa earned an M.Sc. in International Development: Politics, Governance and Development Policy from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and a B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon.
