Jonathan R. Martin is a Ph.D. candidate of Political Science at Boston University. He is a U.S. Army veteran with over 21 years of service including service in NATO and extended overseas tours in Germany, Estonia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His last assignment in the military was teaching strategy and planning at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Jon’s research interests are on foreign policy and strategy, international organizations, and the geopolitics of the Arctic.
Jon holds an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University, a Masters in Leadership and Security from the Latvian National Defense Academy, a Masters in Operational Studies from Marine Corps University, and an M.A. in Political Science from Boston University. He earned in B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
