Estelle Brun is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Political Science department at Boston University (BU) and a Graduate Student Affiliate at the Center for Innovation in Social Science. Her research explores the relationship between political mobilization and various realms of identity, such as the politics of memory and popular culture, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Her dissertation investigates how institutional memory influences political behavior in France and the United States, combining ethnographic and experimental methods.
Prior to joining BU, Estelle obtained an M.Sc. in Comparative Politics with Distinction from the London School of Economics (LSE) where she wrote her dissertation on football (“soccer”) and political mobilization.
