John Connor
Associate Professor, Virology, Immunology, & Microbiology
Dr. Connor focuses his research on the study of viruses and how they dominate cellular hosts. He aims to develop a greater understanding of how viruses overwhelm or disarm the host defenses in order to develop new antiviral molecules and vaccines which will can augment a human beings’ antiviral defenses. This is approached by applying molecular biology, microscopy, biochemistry, genetic, high throughput screening, and systems biology concentrations.
