Nozomi Ito

Nozomi Ito serves as the Associate Director of Grants Administration. She is a Certified Research Administrator with over 20 years of experience in grants administration. Her responsibilities as Associate Director of Grants Administration include funding proposal development, award analysis and setup, regulatory interpretation and research compliance. She also provides expertise in configuring project-specific administrative structure and streamlining operational processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Prior to this role, Nozomi had launched the administrative infrastructure to produce encyclopedia-sized annual reports for CELL-MET, an NSF Engineering Research Center; handled a complex portfolio of grants and contracts involving consortiums with up to 32 partner sites at the Slone Epidemiology Center; and managed a 3-member neuroscience lab through its ascent to the 18-member enterprise, eventually overseeing an institutional transfer of its staff, grants and equipment.
