Science and Engineering Day Awards for Students Announced at BU
On March 21, 2012, Boston University hosted its annual Science and Engineering Day event. This event is held annually in the George Sherman Union and gives students from all science and engineering disciplines the opportunity to share their current research endeavors. Each year, the Photonics Center sponsors a prize for this event, the Herbert J. Berman “Future of Light” Award. The Herbert J. Berman “Future of Light” Award has been established at the Boston University Photonics Center in honor of alumnus H.J. Berman. This award recognizes cutting-edge student research in photonics that shows significant promise of having a future beneficial impact on society.
