The Student Life Fund/The Dean’s Student Emergency Fund 

Life doesn’t wait for convenient moments to fall apart. When a student’s apartment floods the night before finals; when a family crisis suddenly triggers a need to get home; when a house fire destroys everything they own; some students have nowhere to turn. The Student Life Fund/The Dean’s Student Emergency Fund is there for students in these, their most frightening moments.

Resources from this fund can provide same-day help for the urgent needs. With the generous support from our extended BU family, and when possible, we can replace a destroyed laptop so they can finish the semester; cover emergency travel for a student to be with family; ensure our students have a safe place to sleep and food to eat while their world steadies.

Every crisis is different. Every student’s need is unique. But your gift gives the Dean the ability to say “yes” when a student desperately needs help. This is often the difference between a student continuing to pursue their academic goals or derailing a young person’s hopes and dreams.

There is no other gift that can directly impact the success of a Terrier in need more than The Student Life Fund/The Dean’s Student Emergency Fund.
