Luz y Exito 2026

Celebrate graduating students with a Serape Stole ceremony and reception presented by The Howard Thurman Center. Participation in the Luz y Éxito Graduation Ceremony is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who have earned their degree between August 2025 and May 2026. This event is open to all BU community attendees, regardless of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected class status. Boston University is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes participants from all backgrounds. The ceremony will take place in the GSU Metcalf Ballroom at 775 Commonwealth Ave, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02215. The reception will follow the ceremony at The Howard Thurman Center at 808 Commonwealth Ave, Brookline, MA 02446. Please read important info: All graduating students should register for tickets and tickets are required for friends and family of graduates. Graduates should arrive at 12:00 pm but doors open at 12:30pm for everyone else. Graduating students can pick up their stoles and buttons ahead of time at the Howard Thurman Center starting Monday April 27 until May 13. Pick up is only available between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. Graduates who cannot attend the ceremony may pick up their stoles on May 15 by emailing jeddy@bu.edu.
