Pedestrian Space 2026

Join the Boston University Center for the Humanities for Pedestrian Space: a BUCH Forum. FREE and open to the public! Co-sponsored by the BU Center on Forced Displacement, the BU Center on Latin American Studies, and the M+A Collective. During this two-day forum, local, national, and international scholars and artists convene around the concept of Pedestrian Space, as coined by artist Fred Sandback. Sections will be devoted to Pedestrian Spaces of Architecture and Mathematics, History and Criticism of Art and Architecture, “Pedestrian Space," and Politics and Philosophies of Pedestrian Space. A series of three exhibitions/events with related humanities events are open to the public.
