Pardee Fellow Co-authors Paper on European Union Climate and Energy Package

Pardee Center Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Miquel Muñoz, jointly authored a paper on the European Union Climate and Energy Package that has been accepted for publication at the prestigious Common Market Law Review journal, the leading journal on European Union Law.

The article, jointly written with Dr. Elisa Morgera from the University of Edimburgh, and Dr. Kati Kulovesi from the University of Eastern Finland, seeks to explain the innovations and broader implications of the EU Climate and Energy Package from the viewpoint of general EU law and international law. It provides an innovative analysis of the Package through the lenses of the principle of environmental integration, highlighting the complex web of internal and external legal tools that the EU uses to pursue its climate change objectives.

A  pre-publication of the article is freely available at the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), where it already counts with over 300 downloads. The SSRN version will be available until final publication in the Common Market Law Review journal in 2011.
