sdi-008-coverThe Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at Boston University has published a new paper in its Sustainable Development Insights series that calls for new emphasis on accountability and implementation in global environmental governance (GEG). “Rio +20: Accountability and Implementation as Key Goals” was written by former Pardee Center Director Adil Najam and Pardee Center Post-Doctoral Fellow Miquel Muñoz, and is part of an initiative conceived and supported by the Nordic UN Missions of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden to the United Nations in New York.  The initiative included a high-level brainstorming session at the United Nations last March that was a side-event to the Second Preparatory Committee for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio + 20).
