Robert Hollister is Pardee Visiting Faculty Fellow for the New Academic Year

Hollister, a Professor in the Tufts University School of Arts and Sciences, will be in residence at Pardee House for the 2011-2012 academic year as a Visiting Faculty Fellow of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study for the Longer-Range Future at Boston University.

As a Pardee Visiting Faculty Fellow, Prof. Hollister is studying and helping to build on the global movement of civic engagement and social responsibility in higher education of which he has been a pioneer over the past two decades. In 2005, during his tenure as founding Dean of the Tufts University Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service he co-founded of the Talloires Network, a global coalition that has grown to number 180 university in 59 countries working together to strengthen their civic engagement missions. He has been the author or editor of several books on the topic, including most recently The Engaged University:International Perspectives on Civic Engagement (Routledge, 2011).
