Dr. Suarez’s Book Review in Ecological Economics Journal

pablo_2Dr. Pablo Suarez’s, Pardee Visiting Fellow, review of the book Global Environmental Change and Human Security has been published in the latest issue of the journal Ecological Economics. The book was edited by R.A. Matthew, J. Barnett, B. McDonald and K.L. O’Brien and published by MIT Press. In his review, Dr. Suarez says that this volume successfully establishes a confluence of approaches to the idea of security in a changing world. He also says that, through nuanced conceptual and narrative threads, this book serves to foster dialogues and to consolidate the often conflicting or confusing connections between discourses emerging from both research and practice.

Pablo Suarez is a Visiting Fellow at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at Boston University, as well as Associate Director of Programs for the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre, and consultant for the United Nations Development Programme. He is author of the Pardee Paper No. 9 – Linking Climate Knowledge and Decisions: Humanitarian Challenges.
