Delegation of Higher Education Leaders from Pakistan Visit Pardee Center

hmpg-front-67bsr-1A delegation of University Vice Chancellors and other leaders in Higher Education management from Pakistan visited the Boston University Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future on Thursday, November 18, 2010.

The delegation, which includes Vice Chancellors and leaders from ten Pakistani universities are on a two-week study tour of the United States organized by the U.S. State Department as part of the U.S.-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue in critical development sectors, including higher education. The delegation visited the Pardee Center to discuss how interdisciplinary research institutes focusing on development policy issues work at U.S. universities and to understand what can be learnt from the U.S. experience that might be applicable to Pakistan.

The delegation was briefed by the Pardee Center Director Prof. Adil Najam, by Pardee Center Communications Specialist Cynthia Barakatt and by Pardee Center Post-Doctoral Fellow Dr. Miquel Munoz.
