Pardee Center Director Participates in Higher Education Workshop
Prof. Adil Najam, Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future and Boston University Professor of International Relations and Geography and Environment, attended a consultation organized by the U.S. State Department on higher education in Pakistan on behalf of the Boston University President. The consultations were held in Washington DC on November 10, 2010, and included senior US government officials dealing with South Asia and Pakistan and a visiting delegation of University leaders (Vice-Chancellors) from Pakistan.
The meeting discussed key priority areas in which US and Pakistan universities could collaborate and identified various means by which such collaboration could be actualized. Prof. Najam presented the various initiatives at Boston University, including those at the Pardee Center, that could be relevant to such collaboration.
