Prof. Najam’s book named one of “Top 10 philanthropy books of the decade”
Asian American Giving, the Asian American Philanthropy Journal, named Prof. Adil Najam’s 2007 book “Portrait of a Giving Community: Philanthropy by the Pakistani-American Diaspora“ as one of the top 10 philanthropy books of the decade.
Prof. Adil Najam is the Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future and a Professor of International Relations at Boston University. His 2007 book (Harvard University Press) focussed on the giving patterns of Pakistani-Americans and how this diaspora community managed its multiple identities through giving and volunteering.
