Prof. Najam in Reuters TV Report on Copenhagen
The Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, Prof. Adil Najam, was interviewed by Reuters TV for a report on the Copenhagen climate change negotiations and the US EPA decision on regulating greenhouse gases (view video here).
Prof. Najam, who is an expert on international environmental negotiations, and will be going to Copenhagen next week, pointed out that the EPA decision would give more clarity to those businesses that are more environment-friendly and bolster the longer-range competitiveness of US business.
The Boston University Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future was recently designated as an official observer organization for these negotiations – officially, the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Pardee Center affiliates have been quoted in leading newspapers in the run-up to the conference (here, here and here).
