Pardee Center Designated Observer Organization at U.N. Climate Change Negotiations

unfccc-copenhagenBoston University has been designated an observer non-governmental organization (NGO) by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), with the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future serving as Designated Contact Point.

This designation allows Boston University and Pardee Center affiliated researchers (including students) to gain official accreditation to attend as observer delegates any UNFCCC climate change meeting – including the forthcoming Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP) in Copenhagen, from 7 – 18 December, 2009. Only those with official accreditation are allowed to attend international negotiations. (It should be noted that the deadline for gaining official accreditation for the Copenhagen meeting is early November 2009).

Specific inquiries from Boston University and Pardee Center affiliated researchers about gaining accreditation to the 2009 Copenhagen Conference of the Parties may be directed to Pardee Center Research Fellow Dr. Miquel Munoz.
