Munoz Co-authors Paper in Environmental Research Letters

Pardee Center Postdoctoral Fellow Miquel Muñoz co-authored a paper published in Environmental Research erl-logoLetters on climate change negotiations and the prospects for the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held December 2009 in Copenhagen. The paper, titled “Tripping points:barriers and bargaining chips on the road to Copenhagen,”  provides a bird’s eye view of the increasingly complex terrain of the global climate negotiations. It identifies and explains the most important and contentious ‘tripping points’ for reaching any agreement on a post-2012 framework and discusses the primary barriers among countries to reaching consensus and the bargaining chips that countries may draw upon to get there.

The paper is attracting widespread attention and was the subject of an article in U.S. News & World Report.
