Pardee Center Hosts Meeting on Sustainable Development Knowledge
A meeting of some of the members of the Sustainable Development Knowledge Network being established by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) was hosted by the Pardee Center to discuss options for activities and actions by the network.
The informal meeting took advantage of the presence of a number of individuals to help the Director of the UN Division for Sustainable Development think through the action agenda for the Network which had first been discussed by a larger group in New York in May 2009.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Adil Najam (Director, Boston University Pardee Center), Miquel Munoz (Research Fellow, Pardee Center), Prof. Cutler Cleveland (Boston University and Encyclopedia of the Earth), Dr. Paul Raskin (Tellus Institute and Global Transitions Initiative), Prof. Steve Marglin (Harvard University), Dan Chambers (Harvard University); and Dr. Tariq Banuri (United Nations, DSD).
