Pardee House Seminar on Governance, June 5

The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future will hold a lunch seminar on ‘Future Challenges: Governance and Sustainability’ on Friday, June 5, 2009, featuring Mukul Sanwal, Abid Suleri and Hans Hoogeveen who will talk, respectively, about climate and governance, food and governance, and forests and governance. The Seminar will be moderated by Prof. Adil Najam, Director, Pardee Center.
Hans Hoogeveen is the Director General for International Affairs at the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Mukul Sanwal has been a policy advisor at the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and also to the Indian government, Abid Suleri is the Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Policy Institute, Pakistan, and the author of a recent Pardee Center Issues in Brief paper on food and governance.
The Seminar will be held at Pardee House (67 Bay State Road, Boston) on Friday, June 5, 2009.
The Pardee Seminar Series focuses on a variety of issues and invites experts from different disciplines to discuss the long-range challenges and trends in that particular issue.
