Pardee Center Experts Discuss Global Financial Crisis

The Graduate International Relations Council (GIRC) of the Department of International Relations at Boston University organized a panel discussion on Where Does the Environment ‘Fit-in’ During the ‘Global Recession’? on April 16, 2009 at the Boston University Department of International Relations.

The panel comprised of Pardee Center Director Prof. Adil Najam, Pardee Center Research Fellow Prof. Kevin Gallagher, and Pardee Center Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Dr. Miquel Munoz.

In a lively discussion on a timely topic, Prof. Gallagher laid out the economic situation and how it was impacting the global condition. Dr. Munoz focussed his remarks on how climate and energy policy could be impacted by the global financial crisis. Prof. Najam stressed that the current situation needs to be reviewed as a long-range challenge.
