Prof. Najam Delivers Keynote to UCEA Gathering

Prof. Adil Najam, Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at Boston University, presented a keynote address to the 94th Annual Conference of the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA), held at Boston.

UCEA members include public and private accredited, degree-granting colleges and universities, international universities, and nonprofit organizations with a significant commitment to professional and continuing higher education. Member institutions provide pre- and/or post-baccalaureate-level education to students in pursuit of degrees, professional credentials, or simply learning for its own sake.

The Annual Conference attracted some 500 participants. IN his keynote address Prof. Najam emphasized the importance of focussing on inter-disciplinary education and a longer-range perspective on global challenges. He argued that the key challenges of our times require us to think at a global scale, with a longer-range future perspective, and through multiple disciplinary lenses.
