Pardee Fellow Quoted in NY Times Article on NAFTA

Pardee Center Research Fellow Kevin Gallagher was quoted in a New York Times article on March 24 that reviews the effects that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has had on Mexico in the 15 years since the trade pact was signed.

Prof. Gallagher’s comments in the article were related to the treaty’s impacts on Mexico’s high-tech industry, which withered after NAFTA went into effect. The article made indirect reference a book Prof. Gallagher co-authored, The Enclave Economy, Foreign Investment and Sustainable Development in Mexico’s Silicon Valley (MIT Press 2007).
