Adil Najam Speaks to Chicago Global Donors Network

Prof. Adil Najam, Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, spoke to the Chicago Global Donors Network’s (CGDN) 5th Annual Conference on International Giving.
Speaking on a panel on More than Words: Development, Sustainability, and Community Empowerment, Prof. Najam focussed on the words ‘globalization,’ ‘sustainable development,’ ‘human development,’ and ‘human security’ and argued that these terms denote a certain connection in how best to think about global development in the context of today’s realities.
Prof. Najam was joined on this panel by Jim Whitton of the The Hunger Project, and Joan Sherman from Northwestern University. The discussion was moderated by Debbie Kobak of ShoreBank, Chicago.
