Pardee Center Director Speaks on Strengthening the U.N.

Prof. Adil Najam gave a presentation at a symposium on “Development, Resources, and Environment: Defining Challenges for the Security Agenda” organized by the International Peace Academy (IPA) in New York, February, 7-8, 2008.
The meeting was the opening symposium for the IPA’s Task Force on Strengthening UN Capacity. Held at the historic Greenwood Estate, outside of New York City, the high-level symposium was attended by a number of Permanent Representatives to the United Nations from key member states and leading experts in development, resources and environment. Participants discussed the key security challenges facing the world today and possible approaches that the United Nations could adopt to address these challenges.
