I came to this country as a child and a refugee from the Vietnam War, and I’ve had an amazing journey through the educational system. A lot of generous people helped me along the way, and I want to give back by helping first generation students. Investing in future generations – what can be more fulfilling than that.

  • Personal Facts/ Hobbies/ Interests: I am on the Greater Boston Board of Directors for American Heart Association, and I am passionate about promoting cardiovascular health. I enjoy hiking with my family, and exercise at least 5 days a week. My current hobby is reading Harry Potter books with my sons (10 and 7 years old). I bought the hardcover copies of all the Harry Potter books when they first came out and I saved all of them for my sons. I rarely re-read a book, except every year, I read Camus’s The Stranger, as it reminds me of how important it is to be present in life.
