I wanted to become a Terrier First advocate to help students who need guidance on where to go and who to talk to for support. I often use my institutional knowledge to help my colleagues, and hope to use it to help students navigate the University, as well. I was not a first-generation student, but my now-husband was, and I watched him navigate the undergraduate and graduate processes with only the support of myself and his friends. I think the growing support for first-generation students is incredible and long overdue!
