Figuring out how to navigate college is challenging for any student, but especially so if you’re from a low-income family—which adds in how to pay for it—and the first in your family to graduate from college. It can be a lonely experience, one that many such students say makes them feel invisible as they strive to succeed academically while holding down a job, sometimes two, or even three.
