My work focuses on artificially modulating memories in the rodent brain and leveraging these manipulations to alleviate symptoms associated with psychiatric diseases. We combine a suite of technologies including optogenetics, in vivo calcium imaging, circuit tracing, and sequencing to delineate the underlying neural basis of memory and behavior.
