Michael Economo

Assistant Professor; Systems neuroscience, motor control, long-range neural circuits, computational neuroscience, neurotechnology

  • Title Assistant Professor; Systems neuroscience, motor control, long-range neural circuits, computational neuroscience, neurotechnology
  • Office LSE 201
  • Education Ph.D. Biomedical Engineering, Boston University
B.S. Biomedical Engineering, B.A. Mathematics, Duke University

Dr. Economo’s laboratory studies the structure and function of the neural circuits distributed across the brain that control movement. His research leverages cutting edge optical, electrophysiological, and genetic tools for recording and manipulating neural activity during behavior and for illuminating the structure of neural circuits.
