Call for Proposals: Student Seed Grant Program

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Center for Multiscale and Translational Mechanobiology (CMTM) Student Seed Grant Program. This program is in answer to strategy #1, action #3 identified in the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan to “Provide funding to initiate and sustain collaborations within the Center.

The CMTM student seed grants are intended to stimulate innovative research in mechanobiology.  Proposed projects should have a focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • The continuation of projects identified during the summer exchange program
  • Research in mechanobiology that spans and integrates multiple length scales and/or multiple time scales
  • Translational research driven by mechanobiology principles
  • Research that develops and/or heavily uses mathematical modeling to help understand and predict mechanobiological phenomena

All full-time trainees (postdoctoral associates, undergraduate & graduate students) associated with at Boston University are invited to apply.

Priority will be given to trainees and labs that participated in the CMTM 2023 Summer Exchange Program, although all are encouraged to apply. Collaborative proposals between multiple labs encouraged.
