Congratulations to our CMTM GPAW Raffle Winners!

Congratulations to our winners of the CMTM Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week raffle, Gabrielle Grifno and Tim Josephson!

Gabrielle graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Philosophy in 2020, and is now pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.  At Johns Hopkins she worked to optimize stem cells sources for generating 3D in vitro models of blood-brain barrier in Prof. Peter Searson’s lab.  In the Nia Laboratory, Gabrielle is currently studying lung cancer metastasis and models of lung vasculature.  In her free time, Gabrielle enjoys cooking, knitting, guitar and piano, and playing with her cat.

Tim is a biomedical engineering Ph.D. student  in the Orthopaedic & Developmental Biomechanics Laboratory here at Boston University.  Graduating from Drexel University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has a strong background in computational mechanics, with a particular interest in bone biomechanics and the mechanobiology of orthopaedic tissues.

Gabrielle and Tim have each won a coveted CMTM fleece pullover.  For a chance to win your own CMTM merch, check our website often and follow us on Twitter @BUmechanobio to participate in future raffles and trainee activities!
