Photo Library

The BU Photo Library is our free curated gallery of BU-affiliated photography, where you can search, filter, and discover images by category. Once you’ve selected photos and completed the order process, we’ll provide you with the digital files via email.

Accessing the Library

Only BU employees who are registered users can access the library. If you are a BU employee who is not a registered user of the photo library, please fill out the Image Library Access form at the end of this page to request access.

Please refer to our user guide for instructions on how to use the library.

Using Images of Identifiable People

Please exercise discretion when using images of students, faculty, or staff when the individuals are identifiable. This pertains especially to photos of students in classes and extracurricular activities, but it also applies to identifiable images of faculty or staff.

If you intend to use images of identifiable subjects for external-facing materials, please contact BU Photography or call Marketing & Communications at 617-353-4557. We will assist in determining if the intended use is admissible and if you need to seek permission from the subject(s) for the specific use.
